Precessional Spring and the Charge of Emergence
We are now in the season of Precessional Spring — a time of awakening and renewal on a grand, cosmic scale. Just as young saplings must accumulate energy beneath the surface before breaking through the Earth, so too must the human soul gather its inner charge before rising into expansion.
For plants and trees, this charge is gathered quietly through the long, cold months of winter. For humans, it accumulates both collectively — through the hardship of the dark age — and individually, through what many traditions describe as the “dark night of the soul.” It is in these shadowed passages that a deeper longing for truth is kindled. Though progress may feel absent in the moment, a profound inner potential is steadily forming beneath the surface.
The Nature of Awakening
Today, many so-called ‘old souls’ have incarnated on Earth with the intention of awakening — and many have already done so, often so organically that they may not even recognise it as such. Yet awakening is not the conclusion of pain, nor a final destination. More often, it marks the threshold — the opening — before some of the most profound inner and outer work begins.
There is a common belief that enlightenment or awakening dissolves all suffering. Yet in reality, the realisation of oneness may occur before — or even amidst — immense personal trials. And this is not a flaw in the system; it is part of its design. The experience of unity serves as an anchor, allowing us to endure challenges that might otherwise overwhelm us.
Training for the Work Ahead
To lift what is heavy in this world, we must be strong. And strength often comes from bearing the unbearable. Many of us are, or have been, in a period of spiritual training — undergoing intense transformation through emotional, physical, and existential challenges. Each trial has been a form of preparation.
But as we begin to integrate the lessons of our chosen paths, something changes. The vision sharpens. The weight of personal identity softens. Life no longer feels quite so personal. And in that shift, peace begins to grow — not as a luxury, but as a necessity.
Peace as Foundation for Purpose
This peace is not a passive state. It is a grounded clarity that empowers action. It allows us to move through the world without being consumed by it. It gives us the strength to do what we came here to do.
In Precessional Spring, the sap is rising. The time has come to grow — not just upward, but inward, rooted in the wisdom born of darkness, and reaching toward the light we already carry within.
